Our Story
Ours is a story of two friends who have always had an interest in fashion and design. Our backgrounds are not actually in fashion but we have come from creative backgrounds with many years of experience running businesses in the jewellery industry.
When it comes down to fashion, we both know what we like! Our biggest problem though is that we can seldom find what we like at a sensible price! So, we decided that we would make our own range of high quality, contemporary and functional skirts!

Since we first started designing and producing our own range of items, our ethos has been to use high end, predominantly British made fabrics that offer sustainability and quality. As small business owners ourselves we are passionate about supporting British industry and we are proud to use fabrics from Linton Tweeds (famously used in Chanel designs), Harris Tweed and Beckford Silk – all British companies synonymous with producing fabulous materials.
We have had an enormous amount of fun and pleasure in making our skirts so far with these wonderful fabrics - one of our all-time favourites is our Winchester design in Linton tweed - a beautiful array of lemon, coral and aqua on a cream background with a vertical fringe, perfect for cocktails or lunches, dress up or dress down! Our mantra is to make the skirt work for you!

We hope you enjoy our collection of skirts, gilets, dresses and jackets (yes, we’ve already expanded from “just” skirts!) and remember our bespoke service gives you the opportunity to work with us to create your own unique piece of clothing that no-one anywhere else will have!
And just so you know, the name “Warp & Woof” describes the weave of fabric. The Anglo-Saxon origin for the term means “the underlying base and foundation of new beginnings” and this gave us the link we were looking for to frame this new adventure. Although to be totally honest with you, we both have dogs and loved the “Woof” bit and we have started making coats for them too!
